'DYING FOR A CUPPA' ™
It's not easy to talk about loss, death or dying, but doing it over a cup of tea and a slice of cake definitley makes it easier. This is the whole idea behind 'Dying for a Cuppa'™
'Dying for a cuppa'™ is a safe and relaxed place for everyone to gather and enjoy interesting, thought-provoking and life-affirming conversations that help us to get the best out of our lives. It's an opportunity for people, often strangers, to share and story-tell their experiences with the intention to increase awareness of death and the dying journey, with the desire to help us all live and die well. The current climate has meant I have had to adapt Dying for a Cuppa events and have held many online over the last year. I have also recently created 'Coach and Connect' sessions to support everyone to have these conversations for themselves.
Recent times have meant we are not able to connect in person so I have taken Dying for a Cuppa online and go live, normally once a month or so, via Facebook. Covering topics such as Carer Support, the Afterlife and Rituals to name a few!

COACH AND CONNECT
Coach and Connect is a bitesize training session to empower and support people to support the dying, whatever the situation. It is 1 hour of heartfelt training that I created specifically to enable EVERYBODY to gain the skills needed to communicate with the dying, and about death itself. A step on from the traditional Dying for a Cuppa but still with the theme of openness, honesty, tea and of course, cake!
Dying for a Cuppa started out as a community, group event. Set up similarly to a death cafe. As soon as I am able to bring this back, safely, I will book in some more local events. Keep an eye out on the events sections below.
