About the event
Supporting someone at the end of life is about so much more than understanding symptoms or following procedures. Every person brings with them a lifetime of beliefs, values, traditions, relationships and experiences that deserve to be recognised and respected.
This interactive CPD-accredited workshop explores how faith, spirituality and person-centred care can shape the end-of-life experience, giving you the confidence to have meaningful conversations and support individuals and families with compassion, cultural sensitivity and respect.
This is not about memorising religions or becoming an expert in every faith. Instead, you’ll learn about some faith based perspectives, rituals, and expectations but more importantly, how to ask the right questions, avoid assumptions, how to deal with conflict and how to create space for people to tell you what matters most to them.
Throughout the day we’ll combine teaching, discussion, reflection, case studies and practical exercises to help you apply your learning to real-life…
